'THE ZONE' Stuck? Need help? Want advice?
'The Zone' is a friendly, free and CONFIDENTIAL support service for all students at Budmouth aged 11 to 20 years. The advisors at 'The Zone' visit Budmouth from Outside Agencies to help you with any number of problems such as: family troubles, bullying, relationships, health concerns, drugs and alcohol or sexual health worries. 'The Zone' is a safe, private place where you can talk about your concerns and be heard by specifically trained professionals. No details are given to staff or parents about your attendance at 'The Zone'. You will be listened to and offered free advice and support. Together we will find the best thing to do for you.
How do I arrange an appointment with an advisor?
You can send an email to Mrs L Vincent - firstname.lastname@example.org or 'Drop- in' to 'The Zone' during a lunchtime. If you wish, you can ask your tutor or a member of staff to arrange an appointment for you. You may come once or book a longer series of appointments, which could be arranged during the college day.
Where is it?
Find us in the main building Room C008 along the admin corridor.
When is it?
'Drop-in' service every lunchtime 1.10pm - 1.50pm or contact us to arrange an individual appointment at a specified time.
The Zone can also acquire a SPACE worker for LGBT, a worker from WAVES, a Sexual Health Coordinator when requested.
