PE - Physical Education

This course will open your eyes to the amazing world of sports performance through three different sports. You will develop a broad range of knowledge about physical activity and sport. The ratio of theory: practical lessons is 3:2.
The theory units studied are: applied anatomy and physiology; physical training; socio-cultural influences; sports psychology; health, fitness and well-being.
For GCSE PE you will be expected to be training and playing preferably two sports competitively out of college. You should have a high level of fitness, that you are interested in further developing.
The GCSE PE and BTec Tech Award courses will run in parallel for the first half term, allowing movement between the courses based on progress and suitability for the course.

Practical Performance (40%) three assessed sports and one controlled assessment
