Citizenship Studies

An exciting course, that covers a wide range of current topics. This course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to become an active, responsible member of your community and wider society. You will learn how to take action on the things that really matter to you and others. The five themes you will study are:
- Law and justice
- Living together in the UK
- Democracy at work in the UK
- Power and influence
- Taking community action.
The course will develop your self-confidence and communication skills, project planning and realisation, and debating skills – all essential for employability. Future possible careers using Citizenship skills include Solicitor, Teacher, News reporter, Politician, Doctor, Charity worker, Aid worker.
