This course allows you to explore a wide range of creative and stimulating subjects, which can be tailored to suit your own personal interests. You will be introduced to a range of lens-based materials and techniques, including: digital photography and manipulation; SLR film photography and darkroom processes; techniques and basic animation.
You will make practical and critical responses to relevant images from the past and recent times to demonstrate your understanding of different
styles, genres and traditions.
The portfolio will include one sustained project plus other work assessed during the course.

Qualification: GCSE
Awarding Body: AQA
You must have access to a camera that is separate to your mobile phone to study this course.

Unit 1: Portfolio (60%)
Unit 2: Externally set task completed in class (40%)
This exam consists of 6 weeks development time, followed by a 10 hour sustained focused study.
