Art accommodation consists of six dedicated Art rooms with interactive whiteboards, an IT suite, a lighting studio, a photographic dark room, a print room and a kiln room.
Every Art and Photography student at Budmouth has the opportunity to extend their learning outside the classroom with a range of exciting Art trips including a Sixth Form residential trip to St Ives, Cornwall.
We have strong links with Arts University College, Bournemouth. This year we have collaborated with them on the Moving Tides project and Year 13 students have benefited from a portfolio day.
Budmouth Art staff have different specialisms including photography, graphic design, fine art, illustration, media, ceramics and textiles. The staff team is experienced and have worked together for several years.
Key Stage 3
At Key Stage 3 students focus on the use of visual elements in their work such as colour, line, form, shape, point, tone, texture and pattern. They will also learn and develop 2D and 3D creative skills, through both traditional and digital techniques.
