Course Information
 
You will explore a wide range of creative, exciting and stimulating opportunities that explore their interests in photography in ways that are personally relevant. You will be introduced to a range of lens based materials and techniques including digital photography and manipulation, SLR film photography and darkroom processes, techniques and basic animation.
 
You will make practical and critical responses to relevant images from the past and recent times which will demonstrate your understanding of different styles, genres and traditions. You will explore how ideas, feelings and meanings are conveyed in photography and you will develop a specialist vocabulary of photography terms.

Unit 2: Examination (40%)
 
The exam is an externally set task completed in class. It is comprised of 4 weeks development time, followed by an exam that lasts for 10 hours in total.
