Drama

At GCSE, students are introduced to a variety of theatre styles and practitioners. They work collaboratively exploring a wide variety of stimuli to create original pieces of drama. They also explore published scripts in practical way and we visit the theatre to support this work. Currently students study, see and evaluate ‘Blood Brothers’ in Y9 and ‘War Horse’ in Y10. Exam work is approached in a practical way but students are required to submit evidence portfolios as coursework. The final exam is a practical on and can be in performance or in areas of performance design and support.
