Course Information
 
This broad course offers students a wide range of creative, exciting and stimulating opportunities to explore their interests in art and design in ways that are personally relevant and truly developmental in nature.
 
Students will be encouraged to experiment with and develop their skills with a wide variety of materials, techniques and materials including drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, graphics, textiles, digital photography and ceramics.
 
Students will be shown how to develop their own ideas, how to stretch their imaginations and how to inform their own work by researching the work of artists, designers and craftspeople.
 
Assessment
 
Unit 1: Portfolio of work (60%)
Unit 2: Externally set task (40%)
 
The exam is an externally set task
completed in class. It is comprised of 4 weeks development time, followed by a 10 hour sustained focused study.
