A team from Budmouth has won the QinetiQ Schools Powerboat Challenge 2019 with their boat SeaStar. The team was made up of 5 girls who attend the Girls Engineering club and is the 3rd trophy the club have won this year. The team consisted of two students from Year 7 and three from Year 8. The girls have been working on the boat after school and at lunch over the last six weeks and succeeded in producing the fastest boat in the competition.

A huge congratulations to both the team (Sophie Marsh, Kerenza Campbell, Imogen Edwards, Emma Gibbs-Jefferson and Bethan Arnold-Douglas) as well as the rest of the Girls Engineering group who have supported the team.
