Citizenship is about young people in their communities, whether it be within College, Local, National or Global Citizenship. It's about understanding how to take action to make a positive impact in the community. It enables young people to develop skills of research, debating, considering others' opinions and standing up for issues. Students will learn topics such as how our parliament works, how to lobby our representatives, and understanding world issues.
PSHE education is a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives now and in the future.
As part of a whole school approach, PSHE education develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society. Our lessons are designed to allow students to develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes as they get older, and to make safe choices for a fulfilling and successful life.
